Econintersect: Rail traffic YoY growth grew under trend year-over-year in week 23 of 2011 ending 11 Jun 2011 according to Railfax.
Performance year to date for 2011 has been weakening, however the four week trendline is holding steady between 3% to 4% YoY improvement. This week’s 2.9% increase is under trend.
Last week rail traffic was up 3.7% year-over-year, while this week it is up 2.9% YoY. The four week moving average fell marginally from 3.6% YoY to 3.5%. Year-to-date gains were lowered from 5.4% to 5.2%.
