Which EU countries receive the most asylum applications every year?

According to data released by Eurostat, Germany accounts for over 32 percent of all EU applications from asylum seekers. However, on a per capita basis, Sweden leads the way by far with 8.4 applications per 1,000 of its inhabitants.
