Documentary of the Week: Economics and Crisis Prediction

Econintersection:  Steve Keen presented a lecture at the University of Manchester 09 December 2013 which was part of a debate with Peter Backus (University of Manchester):  "Should/Could economics have predicted the crisis?"  In this presentation Keen presents the empirical evidence for the instability debt  introduces to the economy.

The following 22-minute video is composed of the lecture slides with a small insert image of the speaker embedded.  The lesture was presented before the Manchester University Post Crash Economics Society.

The Peter Backus lecture which was presumably a debate response will be presented when available.
