Econintersect:  The largest temporary Visa program in the U.S. is the H-1B program, which allows US businesses to temporarily employ high-skilled foreign workers in key specialty occupations.  Frequently heard are comments from opponents of the program claiming that H-1B holders are displacing Americans who would otherwise be employed.  Furthermore the claim is heard that H-1B visa holders present an unfair low wage competition to Americans.  These and many other "facts" you may have heard are actually just plain wrong, according to data collected by Visual.ly.
