Econintersect: Obesity in America has increased dramatically since the middle of the 20th century, with the percentage of adults with healthy weight declining from about 50% to about 30%.

Econintersect has located CDC (Center for Disease Control) data from 1960 through 2010 which has been plotted in the following graph.
Most of the increase in unhealthy weight has occurred in the last 30 years.
The following map chart show three decades of obesity increases for the U.S.:
