The infographic, Divorce in America, looks at some of the reasons why Americans get divorced. The infographic points out that the reason for divorce can be due to a number of factors but the main reasons are communication, finance, abusive relationship, infidelity and physical attraction. Here are a couple of highlights from the infographic:

  • 50% of marriages end in divorce
  • 66% of divorced couples are childless
  • Average cost of a wedding is $28,000, while a divorce can cost $15,000 – $30,000
  • The states of Nevada, Arkansas, Wyoming, Idaho and West Virginia have the highest divorce rates in the U.S.
