Econintersect: The Net Worth of Households and Nonprofit Organizations declined in the second quarter of 2011 for the second time since the end of the Great 2007 Recession. The decline, although only $149 billion on $58.463 trillion, is significant in that it indicates a deflationary economic effect – and confirms an economic soft spot.
It is interesting to note that investment was strong, but the net worth declines occurred across most asset classes.
