Econintersect:  European and U.S. stock indexes were almost all higher Wednesday, but Thursday morning Asia/Pacific markets are not showing the same enthusiasm.  Trading in the first part of Thursday (April 7, 2011) is mixed and moving within  very narrow ranges.  Six of the major markets are down and five are up.

Follow up:

The biggest move is Seoul, down by 0.5%.  The second biggest move is Malaysia +0.3%.  All other markets have changes +/- 0.1% or +/-0.2%.  Up markets are Taiwan, Tokyo, Shanghai and Indonesia, in addition to Malaysia.  The down markets (besides Seoul) are Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai (Bombay) and New Zealand.
