Oil Prices Rise Wednesday, then Settle Back in the Evening

oil well3 Econintersect:  Oil prices on Bloomberg as of 12:10 am March 17 were mixed compared to 9 pm March 15.  Spot prices were higher for Brent crude in London and WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude in New York, but each was down by more than a dollar from where prices closed in regular trading hours Wednesday.  The April NYMEX futures contract for WTI was down from the last GEI report at 9 pm March 15.

  • WTI Cushing Spot            $ 97.98     +0.8%
  • Dated Brent Crude           $109.88    +1.5%
  • NYMEX Crude Future    $ 97.84      -0.3%
