Acetaminophen is taken for the purpose of relieving various types of pain. Some of the more common uses include for headaches, backaches, and toothaches. This medication also can be taken to relieve menstrual cramps, muscle aches, and some of the symptoms of a cold, such as a sore throat. It was released for public use in the 1950’s, and has been regarded as one of the most popular forms of pain reliever.
