Most small businesses are profitable and optimistic, but a majority of them face financial challenges, according to a recent survey by the 12 regional Federal Reserve banks.
“The Small Business Credit Survey: Report on Employer Firms” found that 61 percent of small businesses that have full- or part-time employees faced financial challenges such as trouble accessing credit or difficulty meeting operating costs. The challenges were even more pronounced for the smallest businesses.
