Even though Nintendo’s new gaming console Switch appears to be off to a great start, it still lacks where it matters most: in terms of game selection.

At launch, Nintendo fans had just five games to choose from, including one blockbuster title in the new Zelda game.
The Switch’s positive reception at launch will help Nintendo attract game developers to quickly fix the console’s biggest weakness. According to a poll conducted among game developers ahead of this year’s Game Developers Conference, just three percent of developers were currently working on a Switch title at the time of the survey while five percent were expecting their next project to be released on Nintendo’s new flagship console.
The most important platform from a developer’s perspective remains the PC. 53 percent of those polled said they were currently working on a PC game with smartphones/tablets and Sony’s PlayStation 4 also ranking high on developers’ agendas.
