Even though David Cameron vowed last summer to “end the gender pay gap in a generation”, the UK still lags behind other European countries when it comes to gender equality in the workplace.

A Glassdoor study found that the UK comes 11th out of 18 European countries. The Nordics had the highest rates of gender equality at work while Ireland, Italy and Greece had the lowest scores.
This chart shows the aggregate gender inequality score across European workplaces in 2016 (1.0 = best, 0 = worst).
