Econintersect: This is the second lecture in a series given to beginning economics students at Kingston University, London. It encompasses a review of of economic history with a number of discussions of common beliefs about economic history which are actually myths – they never occurred!
Key players in the history of economics introduced in this lecture include Adam Smith, Ricardo, Marx, Jevrons, Walras, Menger, Say and many of their successors. A recurring point in this lecture is the persistent recognition of economic instablity by a minority of economists through history and the ignoring of that observation by many others.
Note: There is a section in Dutch near the beginning, starting at 2:00 and ending at 7:00.
