Closing Market Commentary For 3-28-2014
Gary is off today.
All three major U.S. indices were up for the day and down for the week, except the Dow which was up 21 points from last Friday’s close. For the week the S&P 500 lost almost 9 points (-0.5%) and the Dow was up 0.1%. The NASDAQ fell by almost 3%.
Even though all three indices closed higher Friday (28 March) all indices were well below morning highs. The fades from morning highs as the day wore on were 0.5% for the Dow and the S&P 500, 1.1% for the NASDAQ.
