New Book by Frank Li

GOP-bible-170pxEconintersect:  GEI Weekly columnist Frank Li has published a new book with a diagnosis of what it will take to ‘fix’ the Republican Party in time to compete in the 2016 presidential election.  He starts the introduction at Amazon.com with a statement indicating that he thinks the “GOP  is deeply in trouble“.  He further states that, as things stand now, the party is “without any hope” for future presidential elections, at least for the “foreseeable future”.

The book, “The GOP Bible for 2016“, has been released as a Kindle E-book with a price of $4.99, free to borrow for Amazon Prime members.  Click on the book image to access the book’s page at Amazon.

There are five in-book reviews (can be read at Amazon.com), two from people who have contributed to Global Economic Intersection, two U.S. business executives and one by the GEI Managing Editor.

Here is a summary of the GOP dilemma, from Amazon.com:

The GOP is deeply in trouble, without any hope to win another presidential election in the foreseeable future! Here are four main reasons:

1) Democratic imperialism: The GOP has been too pro-war. Most Americans hate wars!
2) Religion: While the religious right supports the GOP, its positions on several major social issues (e.g. abortion) are no longer popular and are costing many votes.
3) Democratic socialism: “Democracy is the road to socialism”. Who said it? Karl Marx! Because of this natural progression from democracy to socialism, the Democratic Party has been increasingly advantageous over time, by attrition!
4) Ideas: To counter the natural advantage of the Democratic Party by attrition, the GOP must periodically come up with some grand new ideas that resonate with most Americans. Unfortunately, that has been missing for way too long …

Go to Amazon.com to read a full outline of the book.  The book is presented in ten parts with 43 chapters in 243 pages.

Editor’s note: The paperback version of the book is in print (but not yet available on Amazon at the time this is written).  The author would like to have some formal book reviews published to coincide with (or soon after) the availability date (soon, but not yet announced).  Two formal reviewers of Frank Li’s first book “Saving America, Chinese Style“, John West (Asian Century Institute) and Bradley Lewis (Economics Department, Union College) are in-book reviewers of the new book.  Read their previous book reviews here and here.

Those wanting  to write a full-length review of the new book should contact the author for a review copy at [email protected].
