Econintersect: The government shutdown continues. Today the Conference Board’s Employment Index was not issued. There is no end sight, no negotiations, and divisive politics as normal continues.
The Conference Board posted:
The Conference Board Employment Trends Index™ (ETI), scheduled for release on Monday, October 7 at 10:00 AM ET, will be delayed due to the government shutdown. Several of the index’s components include latest data compiled by the U.S. government.
The Conference Board will release the ETI report in a timely manner as soon as the economic reports are made available. A new release time will be announced shortly.
