BLS: Jobs Up Strongly in April 2011
With 268,000 private non-farm employment gains, it blew the socks off of all the pessimistic pundit predictions including Econintersect’s forecast of 150,000. Because an increased number of people reentered the labor force the unemployment rate actually increased to 9.0%, up from 8.8% last month.
