An Open Letter to President Trump

Written by

Dear President Trump,

The highly anticipated public hearing of James Comey at the U.S. Senate is finally over. As expected, it has done huge damage to you, both personally and professionally. As one of your staunch supporters, I feel obligated to write you an open letter, again.

Please share this article - Go to very top of page, right hand side for social media buttons.

First of all, I must say that Mr. Comey did a good job at delivering his testimony. He was credible and sympathy seeking-&-earning. For example, he was very successful in depicting you as someone who does not understand the basic differences between running your company and running your country. In the former, you may demand absolute loyalty from your subordinates, but not in the latter, because all public employees must have their loyalty first to the U.S. Constitution and law.

Secondly, I must say that you have simply mishandled the whole thing in this case (61 percent say Trump fired Comey to protect himself). Did you know how JFK put up with his FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover? Mr. Hoover had a folder containing a lot of information against the Kennedys, which could have easily brought down JFK's presidency. Since then, all Presidents have treated their FBI Directors with great care, except for you, especially the way you fired Mr. Comey.

Thirdly, I must warn you: Do not give them a chance to end your Presidency earlier! Who are they then? The neo-cons in Congress! They will jump at their first big opportunity to impeach you, so as to have their man, Mike Pence, installed as the President. In other words, you might have hi-jacked the GOP in the 2016 election, but they want to hi-jacket your Presidency in return, given a chance. Now, let me give you two relevant examples:

  1. President Clinton: He survived the impeachment trial because he had many friends in Washington D.C. (e.g. all Democrats in Congress). The same thing cannot be said about you. In fact, with a few neo-cons joining the Democrats, you can be impeached.
  2. President Kennedy: Although it is still debatable who actually killed him, it’s not debatable who benefited most from his death: LBJ and the Military-Industrial Complex.

Finally, may I, again, encourage you to strive for historical greatness by reforming our political system, as I have suggested (Donald Trump 2.0)? Specifically, stop tweeting immediately (President Trump: Getting Re-Elected in 2020, via Tweeting?)!

I thank you very much for your attention and look forward to a great Trump Presidency!

Best regards,

--- Frank
