Where Americans Buy Toys Online

by Felix Richter, Statista.com

The holidays are quickly approaching and as kids are counting the days until Christmas, parents are busy getting the right presents for their little ones.

To avoid the stress of hitting a crowded toy store in the last minute, many will go online to find their childrens' most-wanted toys.

So where do parents turn to when working their way through their childrens' wishlists online? According to data from Statista's e-commerce database, Amazon and Walmart, both one-stop shops selling everything from Lego bricks to dog food, have the edge over special retailers such as Toys "R" Us in terms of sales of toys and baby products.

To find out more about this market segment, please download our complementary market report "E-Commerce: Toys, Hobby & DIY".

This chart shows leading online retailers in the U.S. in the segment toys & baby products.
