John Kasich: Drop Out, Just Drop Out!

Written by

On February 17, 2016, I asked Jeb Bush to drop out of the 2016 race (Jeb: Drop out, Just Drop Out!). He listened (Jeb Bush suspends his campaign). Today, I am asking you, Governor John Kasich, to drop out too. Hopefully you too will listen, because it is not only an honorable thing to do for you personally, but also good for your party and your country!

1. I endorsed you early and quickly!

I officially and publicly endorsed you on September 2, 2015 (The 2016 GOP Ticket: Kasich-Martinez!) for one simple reason: you were, by far, the best GOP candidate, who could not only win in the general election, but also actually govern well as President, assuming that the primaries would be normal!

But the situation since then has been anything but normal. Americans are fed up with the political establishment, and the people participated in the GOP primaries have so far overwhelmingly voted for an unusual outsider: Donald Trump!

After Super Tuesday on March 1, 2016, I officially and publicly endorsed Donald Trump (Okay, It’s Donald Trump!), my second choice, for one simple reason: there was simply no path forward to the Presidency for you!

2. I voted for Trump!

I voted for Trump on March 8, 2016 (IL, early voting) and started campaigning for him relentlessly! For more, read: Presidential Candidates: Mitt Romney vs. Donald Trump and GOP Establishment vs. “We the people”.

3. Trump cannot be stopped!

Trump has been running a completely unorthodox campaign with extraordinary results, clearly reflecting voters' dissatisfaction and frustration with the political establishment. At the current pace, Trump will inevitably become the GOP nominee - Nobody, not even the GOP elites like Paul Ryan and his hit-man Mitt Romney (Transcript of Mitt Romney's Speech on Donald Trump), can stop it! Why not? Because we the people have spoken!

4. Discussion

Trump offers the best, and perhaps the only, hope for the GOP to recapture the White House in November! So rather than trying to dump Trump, the GOP establishment should rally around him as soon as possible.

You are the last tool for the GOP establishment to stop Trump, and your continued presence in the 2016 race is both delusional and destructive.

It's delusional because you will not be the nominee, even with a brokered convention! In other words, do you really believe that some GOP elites and activists will be the king-maker at the convention by raping the voters in front of the modern media (e.g. TV and Internet) for the first time ever?

Below is a propaganda email I recently received from your campaign, clearly showing how deeply delusional you are! Specifically, don't you know that a campaign is won by votes, not by polls? Must not you be the GOP nominee first before facing the Democratic nominee?

It’s destructive because when you drop out, a clear contest between the two leading candidates, Trump and Cruz, will decide who the people want, resulting in one clear winner going into the GOP convention.

Bottom line: the sooner the GOP can identify the people’s choice and rally around him, the better the GOP’s chance to win the general election in November! Continued divisiveness of party loyalties is destructive to your party and your country!

5. Closing

Governor Kasich, please drop out, just drop out, of the 2016 race, for the sake of the GOP as well as for America!
