Markets opened flat with a negative bias. European markets are currently are up slightly. Shares in France are off as the CAC 40 drops 0.69%. The DAX is down 0.28% while the Footsie (FTSE) 100 in London is down slightly at 0.22%. Asian markets closed up with the Hang Seng up 1.31% with the Nikkie down at 0.59.
The large caps opened flat with the DOW closing on Monday at 13264 now at 13245. The 500 closed yesterday at 1419 and opened at 1419, The Russell 2000 closed yesterday at 840 and opened at 841 and is currently at 839.
Gold is at 1678 starting out at 1672 early this morning and reaching a high of 1680 an 30 minutes ago. GLD is at 162.92, SLV is at 31.91, SSO is at 59.06, SPY is at 141.62 moving up from yesterday’s close of 141.56.
Brent opened this morning at 124.19 and steadily moved up to 125.19 and is now at 124.76.
