According to a study by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), bribery is rampant across the globe.

Follow up:

What industries are most involved in the practice? Interestingly, almost 60 percent of foreign bribery cases happened across four sectors - extractive, construction, transportation & storage as well as information & communication. Indeed, extraction comes first, accounting for 19 percent of bribes observed by the OECD, ahead of construction and transportation & storage who had 15 percent each.

This chart shows the percentage of total bribes by multinational industry.
