Econintersect:  Thomas E. Woods, Jr., Senior Fellow of the Ludwig von Mises Institute, discusses the economics of the American police state in this week's documentary.  He reviews why the law enforcement activities that have become so dislocated from public interest:  Too many livelihoods and profit interests are associated with the system.  The disaster that The War on Drugs has become is explained by an array of perverse adverse incentives for law enforcement.
