This week we talk about the rapidly rising costs of federal government "entitlements". The question of sustainability is greatest for Medicare expenses as we go forward. In the chart this week we look at the historical data for Social Secuity as a representative of the overall entitlement problem. As I discuss the problem using Social Security data, don't forget that the Medicare problem is actually much bigger.
