Bangkok Surpasses London As the World’s Top Tourist City

Bangkok has narrowly surpassed London to become the world’s top destination for overnight visitors, according to Mastercard’s Global Destination Cities Index.

Follow up:

In 2013, 15.98 million people had an overnight stay in Thailand’s capital.

This is slightly more than London which recorded 15.96 million international visitor arrivals. Paris completes the top three with 13.92 million overnight visitors while Singapore and New York round off the top five.
