One Hundred Years of Ski Fashions

Econintersect:  Over the years outfits worn by skiers have ranged from the glamorous to the grotesque.  It seems that attire for gliding on the snow started out highly functional but rapidly degraded in after the early part of the 20th century to poorer function often in an unsuccessful attempt at improving form.

Below are two children at a ski lodge in 1955.  It is difficult to tell but the little girl is probably wearing tights.
