Saez: Income Redistribution by Taxation

Econintersect:  Prof. Emmanuel Saez of University of California, Berkely, is well known for his studies of income distribution presented a lecture at Stanford University Center for Ethics in Society 24 January 2013.  (The video of that lecture is available after the Read more >>> jump.)  Saez has shown that varying the top tax rate does not correlate with any change in economic growth.  On the other hand he shows that the top tax rate is inversely correlated to amount of income inequality.
