Max Kaiser: Geithner Accused of Insider Information Fraud 16 August 2007

Econintersect:  Episode 398 of the Kaiser Report at RT reviews the documentation of alleged misconduct by retiring Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on 16 August 2007.  At that time Geithner was president of the New York Fed (Federal Reserve Bank of New York)  The evidence reviewed by Max Kaiser and Stacy Herbert comes from a number of sources, including top Fed official Jeffrey Lasker, head of the Richmond Fed.  Steven A. Ramirez, former enforcement officer for the U.S. SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and now professor at Loyola University School of Law in Chicago, also discusses misconduct in the financial system in an interview by Mad Max in the second part of the program.
