Econintersect: Unemployment in the 20-24 year old age group has been over 13% for the first four months of 2012 and just came down to 12.9% (seasonally adjusted) in May. This is the environment that college graduates faced as they collected their sheepskins. While employers are more optimistic about the job market and there are more than 9% more new graduate hirings planned for this year compared to last, many college graduates will still not find a job.
