F is for Failure: An Infographic on the Decline of USA Education

Econintersect: The USA has had several "education" Presidents - trying to show the country that education was their priority.  Somewhere between desire and execution - USA education is failing regardless of the amounts of money being thrown at it.  Failure is failure - and it is not occurring due to lack of funding.  The following infographic puts the issues of primary education into an easy to understand form.

    We have become a hedonistic society; everyone wants to be entertained and no one wants to struggle. We have forgot that the rewards of struggle are the ones most appreciated and the last two generations never even learned that.

    Athletics have never interested me particularly, but the athletic programs are the only ones in school or college where it is demonstrated that payoff is for hard work.

    Hedonists don't want personal responsibility and they expect every good thing to be an entitlement instead of a reward. Hedonism is the last stage in a dying culture and it has never been reversed once it has become the norm.
