WilliamBlack150Econintersect:  University of Missouri Kansas City Associate Professor of Economics and Law William K. Black (pictured) was scheduled to testify before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee this morning.  The title of the hearing is “Examining Lending Discrimination Practices and Foreclosure Abuses.”

Prof. Black has informed Econintersect that his testimony would focus on the failure to prosecute the elites.  He has written volumes on this topic and some of that work has been posted by Global Economic Intersection.  (See References.)

    Dear Prof. Black,

This is a unique opportunity for you to help save America! You should tell Congress that
    (1) Look beyond the symptoms.
    (2) Identify the root cause of the housing bubble, which is the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) and the creation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, nothing else.

    Thanks,
    --- Frank
