Econintersect:  This web site has not shut down today, but we have posted a graphic at the top of our news blog (below) to show solidarity with a massive internet demonstration.  Econintersect will post more on this this evening.  Meanwhile read more below.

Follow up:

There are petitions circulating urging Congress to avoid restricting access to the internet for bloggers, social networks and other public uses which have created a new dimension for communication. One of these is available through Google.

Another campaign is being run by Stop American Censorship.org.
