Econintersect: Frequent guest contributor at Global Economic Intersection appeared today on the Dylan Ratigan show on October 17, 2011. He addressed the rampant fraud that has occurred in the banking and finance system over more than the last decade. Black cited seven year old FBI reports of mortgage fraud that have been ignored. He called out Paul Krugman who has written on the problems with the banks but has avoided the use of the five letter f-word. Author David DeGraw was also on the show and suggested that Bill Black should be nominated as the U.S. Attorney General candidate of the OWS movement.

What about what happened to Eliot Spitzer when he warned about mortgage fraud, These clowns cant see a trillion dollar fraud, but they are able to find Spitzers hooker money
Bill Black nails it again! He can’t cover everything in a minute or two, but I’d also like to see Bill mention that we must regulate the derivatives market, the $600 trillion time bomb that may doom us all. Bill is correct in his main message, namely that if we don’t re-criminalize fraud, then we are headed for disaster.
