Econintersect: Rail traffic YoY growth grew year-over-year in week 22 of 2011 ending 04 Jun 2011 according to Railfax.
Performance year to date for 2011 has been weakening, however the four week trendline is holding steady between 3% to 4% YoY improvement. This week’s 3.7% increase is within trend.
Last week rail traffic was up 2.3% year-over-year, while this week it is up 3.7% YoY. The four week moving average improved marginally from 3.5% YoY to 3.6%. Year-to-date gains remained at 5.4%.
