Econintersect:  All eleven major stock markets in the Asia/Pacific region are trading lower Tuesday morning (April 19, 2011).  Two of the markets (Shanghai and Seoul) showed fractional gains last week, but both have more than given those gains back in trading so far this week.

Follow up:

Five of the markets have losses exceeding 1% so far Tuesday morning.  These are Shanghai (-1.9%), Sydney and Tokyo (both -1.5%), Hong Kong (-1.3%) and Taiwan (-1.2%).  Both Singapore and New Zealand are down 0.9%.  The smallest losses are in Mumbai (Bombay) and Indonesia, both down by 0.35%.
