Econintersect:  Morning and pre-market trading in the far east has stocks mixed Thursday, March 31, but more markets are up than down.  Trading is very narrow with nine of eleven major markets trading fractionally between +0.3% and -0.2%.  The notable exceptions are Shanghai, down 1% and Mumbai (Bombay), up 0.7%.

Follow up:

The other four negative markets are Taiwan  and Tokyo (-0.2% each) and Singapore and New Zealand, both of which are nearly unchanged at -0.01% and -0.04%, respectively.  Indonesia and Malaysia are both ahead by 0.3%, while Seoul, Hong Kong and Sydney are all +0.1%.  Tokyo is essentially unchanged at +0.02%.
