Far East Stocks Weak Monday

Econintersect:  Only four of eleven major stock markets in the far east managed to close with gains Monday, March 28.  The leaders were Mumbai (Bombay) with a gain of 0.7% and New Zealand which closed 0.6% higher.  Shanghai (+0.2%) and Seoul (+0.1%) eked out small gains.

Follow up:

The biggest losses were 0.7% in Taipei and 0.6% in Tokyo.  Singapore and Hong Kong were each off by 0.4%.  Sydney, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur had small fractional losses from 0.1% to 0.2%.
