Econintersect: European stocks were stronger than in the U.S. Tuesday, with six bourses up and four down. All markets changed by less than 1% on the day. In New York, most indexes were down by small amounts, notable exceptions being the Dow Transports and Utilities.The biggest move in Europe was a 0.9% decline in Stockholm. Vienna closed down 0.6%, a bigger move than any of the gainers, which were led by Geneva (+0.4%).
