Far East Stocks are Booming

February 14th, 2011
in econ_news

Econintersect:  Every major market in the Asia/Pacific region is up in midday trading Monday.  Shanghai and Mumbai are leading the way with gains of more than 2%.  Seoul is up 1.9%.

Follow up:

New Zealand is the weakest market with a gain of 0.5%, while Taiwan is next with a gain of 0.9%.  Indonesia and Malaysia are up 1%.  Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo are holding on to 1.1% advances.  Indicating a good week for global stocks or is this just the Far East version of the Egyptian relief rally?
