Econintersect: Far East stock markets are suffering significant losses on Wednesday. Jakarta (-2%), Singapore (-1.6%), Hong Kong (-1.4%) and Seoul and Taiwna both down 1.2% lead the parade. Shanghai is down 0.9% while Mumbai, which has been suffering recent setbacks, is only down 0.2%.The only up markets are just barely above even. Sydney is up 0.2% and New Zealand is ahead by only 0.1%. Asia/Pacific stocks are accelerating the theme started by Europe on Tuesday where narrow losses were experienced. The rest of the world is diverging from the Western Hemisphere where markets in the Americas had mostly green results Tuesday.
