US Treasury Statement Shows Deficit Spending Roughly In Line With Last Year

The November 2010 US Treasury Monthly Statement shows that at the end of the second month of the USA 2011 accounting year:

The deficit is $290 billion for the 2011 year to date (ytd) vs $296 for the 2010 ytd.

spending is $586 billion for the 2011 ytd vs $566 for the 2010 ytd

revenue is $295 billion for the 2011 ytd vs $269 for the 2010 ytd.

Revenue up, spending up - deficit about the same.
