But I do have a question. What hath the Fed wrought? Aside from destroying the finances and lives of millions of America’s elderly, while punishing thrift and rewarding rank speculation, has it also made any real chance of a housing recovery impossible in the process? Is it not time that we look at Fed policy through a moral prism that goes hand in hand with the question of effectiveness.
